FRESH DESIGN FOR A
CLASSIC BRAND STORY

Jambu&Co Website Redesign 

I was given the exciting opportunity to redesign the Jambu&co website. The goal was to have an online presence that reflected the fresh, contemporary direction the brand was leaning into for it's 2023 collection.

Approach

Jambu&Co's target audience has traditionally been older women, however, in 2023 they were looking to expand to the younger market. The new website had to be clear and easy to use enough to still be comfortable for their current customer, yet be modern in a way that appealed to the new generation they were aiming for. 

To achieve this, I worked with the developer to create modules with large, crisp image variations in hero images on the header, simple grids, and readable text. The color palette stayed in line with the earthy tones in their brand guide. I chose classic fonts that avoided trends for a timeless feel. 

Challenges

What proved to be most challenging about this project was knowing when to pull back. Earlier wireframes included large videos, text animations, and additional colors These ideas were in line with trends at the time and would have befitted many other brands. However, from a user experience perspective, this did not work for the needs of the Jambu & Co customer. 

After considering this, I arrived at the scaled-down version that is presented below.
